36v to 48v.

I am am looking at converting my 36v 1999 EZGo to a 48V. I am new to the golf cart thing so.... what all will I have to get and where is going to be the cheapest place to get it?

Batteries, 48v charger, etc.......

If you are new to this, you might want to consider simply buying a 48v cart. I just finished my 4th cart which was a 2002 TXT stretch and 36 to 48v conversion. All total, controller, solenoid, wires, battery meter, etc. I spent in the neighborhood of $1500. Good luck on your conversion and remember "speed is money...how fast do ya wanna go".

Well i dont want to buy a new cart. I have one and was going to replace the 36v batteries. then i started pondering about maybe goin to a 48v.

I have a 1998 TXT series, and once my batteries bit the dust, I went to 48 volts. ScottyB has the stuff you need. I spent about $1,800 for eight T-105s, Alltrax 4855, HD solenoid, 2 gauge battery cables, Alltrax Ex-Ray, 48 volt charger.
