![]() First, make sure the airbox is tightly sealed. Check the plastic spacer between the carb and the head for cracks. Is the fuel filter clean? There's one in the bottom of the fuel tank. Is plenty of fuel getting to the carb? Is the choke opening fully? Check the spark plug for a rich or lean mixture - black soot or wetness (not oil) means rich.
If these all check OK, rebuild, or at least dismantle and clean the carb. |

![]() kk checked the spacer no cracks, put it back on and started the cart and spayed carb cleaner all around it to see if it would cut out from the spray and it didnt so it is sealing well. Plug was dry with a little blackness to it ,carbon i suppose, so im still stumped seems like it must be running lean because of the jet thing but still dont know why,i did notice something though if i feather into the throttle very softly it wll stay reved up till i let off but if i get into very fast at all it boggs still...im doing all this with in neutral ..so no load.and compression is a little above 130psi

![]() I'm having the same issue with a G9. I notice that the surge tank assembly is missing..... Could this be the issue?

![]() What is a surge tank? This is usually because if there is any leak or modification to the airbox/intake or exhaust the cart will run lean. Either you fix the leak or jet the carb richer by enlarging the main jet until it runs well. Before you do any of that, you must make sure you have good fuel flow and the carb is not dirty. Fuel should spurt out of the carb hose on the starter, you need to spray carb clean through the passages at the least to ensure the jets are clean, and clean the bowl. Spray up the main jet at center bottom, spray through the idle circuits, the air jets at intake of carb. Don't over tighten the carb bolts and break the spacer so it leaks.
