what year is my g1 motor
My Vin on my g1 is j17012736 which I know makes it an 1982 but the number on my cylinder is j 1000th cc. Does that make the motor a 1979? I need to put a new piston on but also looking to replace the cylinder

J10 cylinders were used on all G1's except for J17-1982. You may have an adapter that takes the Carb manifold from J10 to J17 carb. Have a picture of that?
