89 marathon dead battery?
Haven't had time to test it since it's still at my camp site but parked in Sunday night and went to drive it Monday morning and nothing. If I jump it it will move and stay running, but runs like cheap on low end of throttle but will scream at full throttle. As soon as I let off of throttle for a couple of seconds and park it, it won't start back up, unless I jump it and keep it running. That being said, bad battery? Or bad starter/generator? Sorry I'm trying to troubleshoot it from 50 miles away. Lol

Re: 89 marathon dead battery?
It starts, so not the starter.
Runs great at full throttle. Generator putting out enough to produce spark, and try to charge battery at same time. Runs crappy at low throttle because dead battery is stealing all of the power generator is putting out. Change battery. |

Re: 89 marathon dead battery?
That's what I was hoping for...lol. I also had issues with it previously where I would hit the throttle but no go. Maybe the battery was just getting weak. I cleaned all connections and it still didn't do any better. Maybe batter was just getting weak? Battery is 6 years old so I'm in need of a new one anyways.
