Default Not enough range

I have a 2008 YDRE. Trojan 12 volt one year old, new stock motor, Alltrax 400 amp controller, upgraded solenoid, new circuit board in DPI charger. Saturday drove to course(2 miles) made it around to last hole. Cart moves at regular speed and starting tourque until guage (stock) shows half, then it just slows way down. Limped home. Scotty told me to hook dvm across battery pack.

53.2v after charge but goes down dramatically when pedal pushed hard to
40-44v. Until up to speed.

Any help?

What size battery cables? Have you tested each of the batteries on their own? Seems like 12v battery testers are the most common voltage testers available

Okay so it works fine until stock gauge reads half...check your dvm reading at rest when the gauge reads half. We need to know the charge level (by voltage) when it starts to act up

This reading is a red flag 53.2v after charge but goes down dramatically when pedal pushed hard to 40-44v. Until up to speed.

The Pack is either a little weak or there is an excessive draw on the pack, which I doubt since the motor is stock and the cart is setup for golf.
Do the same test you did for the pack on each individual battery.
Remember the cart is the BEST battery load tester.
Record your findings and post them here.

Other information that would help analyze the batteries.
Pack voltage after sitting 12-24 hours AFTER a charge with no use.
At the same time the voltage of each battery like 12.73 or 12.51

Ok, individual readings:

(1) 13.2 down to 10.7 then back up to 12.5 at speed.
(2) 13.3. 10.9 13.2
(3) 13.3. 10.9. 12.5
(4) 13.3. 11.0. 13.2

The low drop is very short duration. These reading are after being on charger overnight.

Thanks

The 12-24hour wait after charging is important to get a true reading of what the battery can really hold. The Readings you are giving are over full not settled.

See the chart for 100% = 12.73v
The drop for all the batteries is pretty consistent and higher than it should be even at that elevated state of charge.

Well, I consider the drop to be "pretty average" for 12v Batts. Which I know to say pretty badly under load. The bigger controller also helps "sag" them under initial load.

Why is the # 3 battery dropping 1 volt lower than the others

Okay, sitting for about 44 hours after charge I have 52.9v. Slow take off doesn't drop much, but hard throttle drop down to 41 briefly. At speed, runs about 49.9
