Default Drive wheel grinding bad all the time G14E.

Cart has been sitting for about a year and a half. Got it running great except for this grinding issue. I figured it would be the hub so I replaced it. Nope. Changed gear oil. Needed it but was not the problem. Noise is coming from the spindle that comes out of the axle. Noise is pretty bad!! Worried I'm gonna damage even more by driving. Any help ? Thanks

Wheel bearing. Not too hard to replace.

Yep looks like. I'm down to just the axle. How do I get the bearing out of the shaft??
Thanks for your help.

Yamaha built axle, or Dana built axle? Dana has black steel pan on bottom.

I do not see a "black pan" so I am saying Yamaha.

Going to need a hydraulic shop press for that one.. If it cannot be pressed off, it will have to be removed from the hub flange side (that job is a grinder and a welder).

CG, I don't want to jack this man's thread but I've been following it pretty closely. And maybe something I find out can help him too. I'm having the exact same issue. 1999 G19E. Tightened axle nut. No help. How do I tell what rear is in a G19?

The Yamaha-built axle has no nut holding the hub in place, it's welded on. The G19 has the Dana-built axle, identifiable by the black removable oil pan, the other axle doesn't open like this.

How to post pictures-

When making a post, click the "go advanced" button. On the next page, above the text entry field, click on the paperclip icon. Then, add your pictures in the 5 slots provided. After selecting pics, click the upload button just at the lower right. After all uploading is done (you will see a change on the page listing what was uploaded), click the "close this page" at the bottom of the page. This just adds pictures, add your text, and click the button at the bottom to submit the whole thing.
