My 87 Yamaha G3 Sun Classic Rebuild
I wanted to start this thread separately so as to not mistakenly bombard other threads with my questions, progress and experiences this far. I will be posting details and photos shortly and appreciate everyone's help and contributions along the way.
I recently picked up a very nice shape G3 electric and am completely going through it inside and out. I am currently in process of replacing controller, wiring etc at this time. I am converting to 48v, using a 500a Curtis controller, White Rodgers solenoid and reversing contactors. I plan to use the existing original GE motor, as long as it's in good working order. So far I have installed most all stated above using 2ga marine wire. [IMG][/IMG] |

I've always wanted to "modernize" a SunClassic. Nice.
