Ok, time for an update. After waiting forever for the motor to show up (was on back order). Some significant changes have been made. The controller was changed to a XCT-48400-YDRE, the PDS controller shared too many inputs with outputs, and it never was happy. YDRE version seems happy now. I had to use a plug end from an old yrde harness to make wiring, no problem, had one laying on the bench (Yamaha Service manual gives part number for plug if some other crazy fool wanted to try this). After all the waiting, modifications needed, special plugs the average person wouldn't have laying around, and hassles, I would not go this route again. The motor required the "bell" on the axle to be clearenced to fit (don't have pics of that), the frame had to be "clearenced" to fit the tach sensor (pic will be posted). G3 does not allow much space for big motors, but on the plus side, it's "ladder style" rear suspension won't have much "side-to-side motion". Today, I finally got the system to turn the tires. More to come, as this project is nearing completion.... Don't mind the crazy red wire in the pic, it's the wire from the charge port to the batteries, and will be properly routed later.

Looks like you are getting it sorted out. Problem is the Sepex system is so complicated compared to the series but the speed will be nice.
