Best all-around upgrade kit 2007 48v Drive
Relatively new to the forum so I apologize if this has been hashed to death. There are some many upgrade kits... what seems to be the best? We live in a relatively flat joint. No off-roading will be done.
Thanks ahead of time. |

Re: Best all-around upgrade kit 2007 48v Drive
Not sure about complete kits available, but I have a 07 Drive with a alltrax xct 500 amp controller and a emp motor, 2 awg wire, 23" tires, rear seat running at 29mph with good torque. never tested with 1 passenger so I might hit 30-31. You can check out plowmans riot kit. I personally cant write a revue on it, but I have read good results.

For about $500 you can find the XCT400 amp YDRE controller and HD 200 amp solenoid. This will get you a zippy 21-22 mph with about 25-30% more torque (power) than stock. Pretty good for neighborhood use.

Purchased what Scotty mentioned, from Scotty actually [emoji2]. The controller and solenoid are perfect for cruising the neighborhood. No need for carts to go over 23mph if ridin and relaxing. IMO.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, my cart was caught in the recent flooding in NC and sustained bad motor damage. I need a motor as well, so I figured a lot would be best. What’s your thoughts?

I installed the Riot Kit from Plowman’s and it is a beast now. Roughly around $1400.00. Don Plowman offers customer service beyond expectations.

Another question... if I go the plowman riot kit, what works for me? The manual says the cart is a YDRE.
