I’ve never heard of anyone using champion batteries. I think you should stick with US or Trojans. I just bought a set of Trojans,$850, ugh. My last set lasted for 8 years though. They are worth it.

I would read up on converting to Trojan T-875. It's easy on yours, batteries will be nearly same price, and you will get higher capacity (which will equal longer battery life).

When it comes to converting 6 - 8v batteries I would just need a different tray and extra jumpers.. everything else should be the same I think

No different tray needed, just very slight modification to yours. You don't want to change the battery tray, it's the whole entire floorboard, and the cart gets stripped to the frame..... Search bar at top right will help you find the correct thread.

I have the Trojan T 1275s and loving them. I have to many accessories to do any type of conversions.
