Regen Braking

I have been searching and haven't been able to find an exact answer to this question, but do motor upgrades eliminate a Yamaha Drive's regen braking? Is there any way to return the feature outside of getting the stock motor put back in? What are the cons of the regen braking other than what seems to be a slight speed loss?

I am looking to get the motor braking back on the cart. Will I need to try to find a stock motor? I am currently using an Electrical Motor Products motor.

We have a couple of YDRE motors with speed sensors, they work well with the Alltrax XCT controller. Personally I prefer regen brake assist with aggressive driving. USe the FN2 dongle and you can dial the regen up or down as desired as you drive.

Apparently my motor won't allow for any controller change or modification, I was able to talk to EMP and they confirmed this. Probably going to be looking to install a stock YDRE motor back into it. Do you have them for sale on your site scottyb?
