1990 Petrol Club car
I have had a 1990 club car since last September but i have difficulty starting it, everytime i come to a stop you have to push the gas pedal very gently and it is about 5 to 10 seconds before it starts. It stopped today and I cant get it to go. I have new plugs petrol pump and no the petrol is not dirty. Can anyone help. please

Welcome to BGW !!! Petrol? That's gas right?
Check the micro switch in the black box under the driver's seat where the accelerator cable goes in.... there are 2 micro-switches there. Check them for continuity and adjust the cable for proper timing of the switch. |

My 90 cranks for a little bit before it starts. I looked and saw that i have a lot of travel in the pedal assembly before the throttle barely moves or opens up. Try to floor it next time and see if it starts right up. Mine will but this is with a warm engine also. When its cold I hold the choke and pump the pedal and it fires right up then I let off the choke. Sometimes I dont need the choke when its cold.
