Default Carb rebuild help for EH29C Robin Engine

I am working on my father in laws EZ Go Golf cart. It will start but only after holding the gas pedal down for about two minutes. I have replaced the spark plugs. Once it starts it runs well but if stop for a few minutes and try to start it again it is difficult to start again. Assuming it may be carb problem. Any other ideas on what to check is appreciated. Gas forms in the air cleaner so I am assuming it is the carb.

Mine was doing same thing(not starting or very hard to start, spitting fuel into air box), after checking all electric things came down to carb. So I started searching and found a few things. After reading a few things I decided to try a valve adjustments(GREAT thread on here somewhere with instructions) I followed the thread on here, and did it Friday and has ran without the problems ever since. That is a great post Dogginit and welcome to BGW
all three of you. The basics are first, spark, fuel and compression.
The valves must be in lash or you lose compression.
Let us know how it goes for you 9450 and 7762.

I need to look at the clearance for the valves. Sounds like that may be the problem based on one of the responses I received.
