Default Loss of Wheel Torque with Larger Tires?

Will be installing a Jake's 3" lift on my '03 DS. Would like to replace my 18" tires with 22's for some extra ground clearance but I'm concerned about the loss of wheel torque. I'm wondering if it will be a noticable loss. I have a cargo box mounted and sometimes carry maybe a 200 lb. load over some steep hilly terrain. The FE290 is strong with 165# compression. Torque with the 18" tires is more than adequate. Clutches and drive belt are in good shape. Or should I consider 20" tires and give up some ground clearance? Thanks for any advice.

I would go 20 inches. Just because you did say STEEP terrain. If torque is presently more than adequate then going to 20 will be tolerable but going to 22s will be a noticeable loss of torque ...
