Question engine shroud Q.

any one know if the engine runs cooler with the engine shroud on

looking cool aint always cool ...

no, it'll run hot. When you remove the shroud there no air being circulated around the cooling fins.

I'm guessing there is a fan off of the fly wheel or something , that would
make sense of the shroud

It's there for several reasons; it keeps muck away from the cooling system (dead leaves and grass etc) and diverts air across the engine. Some smart people being paid high $$$$s concieved it, be very careful trying to out- think them. I'm not saying there are aren't other ways to cool your engine more efficiently but you have to admit that the folks at Kawasaki had a good scheme in mind when it came to these motors. Better than Yamaha !! Check the posts over there ffs !!!! Bloody engines seem to go bang more regularly than suicide bombers.
