Re: 2006 txt
Im not pulling it just cruising the Race track. If I was going that hard core id get gas.
Same with the camp grounds. I dont plan on building a 4 wheeler...yet. So if the series is better I thought someone said the resisters were horrible on battery life. Man this is so confusing.... I was just looking to build a nice cart for cruising the campgrounds with a mild lift and some slightly bigger tires than stock. Its mostly paved roads or open trails. |

Re: 2006 txt
The year of carts you have been looking at do not have resistors in them, they are solid state controllers.

Re: 2006 txt
Can you guys please explain this better. I dont want anything much older than a mid 2000.
I don't understand why a cart that is supposed to be better and cost more everywhere is actually a worse cart and the cheaper TXT is better. Please explain. One post seems to say a PDS is better and then now Scotty is telling me that the PDS sucks and the TXT is better? My head is spinning. I just want a good cart that is cheep and easy to upgrade. Will be dependable and not kill batteries or my wallet. I see these lifted PDS carts all over the place for 6k or more not many are TXT carts. Why does a PDS cart cost so much more if it is not as good? I am sure these questions would help alot of people besides me when making a purchase. |

Re: 2006 txt
OK, basics here, they are both a TXT.
A series cart has a fnr switch by leg, most durable for lifting putting on rear seat and crawling around. A PDS cart has fnr switch on dash, controller tends to heat up while crawling around and eventually you burn it up especially when lifted and reat set. This is why Scotty told you series is better for what you are wanting to do. |

Re: 2006 txt
Well this cart as seen in the picture has the selector under the seat.
http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/rvs/2114598735.html Understand why this is all so confusing to me now. So maybe this isnt a PDS hell I have no clue at this point anymore. |
