have you tried running it a little longer and if so is it still hard to start? i,m not sure where to go with this cause if everything is as you say it is the cart should start right up.......i mean it shouldn,t take 2 minutes...the gap on the plug should be from .28 to .31 you said its at .28 right? can you try re-gapping to .30 or 31 see if that helps........................

I've noticed the motor isn't spinning over as fast as it use too and the black wire going to the starter generator was smoking. I just put a new battery in it and made sure it was charging 14.5 volts at wide open. I appreciate the help a lot. Do you think I need to replace those wires and overhaul the starter generator? Cold starts it whips right over on hot starts its definately lagging.
