Re: driven clutch
Checked the new belt and its the same size as the old one.
Compare it to specks. Check the nylon wear buttons on your driven and see if they are worn out if they are it causes the driven to be harder to open. The driven is forced open by the driver clamping shut and forcing the belt higher in the drive and lower in the driven |

Re: driven clutch
Thanks for verifying how that works. I will try to find the specs. for the factory belt and see where im at. Then a belt thats just a little bigger could cause the driven not to open all the way . Could have a couple of problems. The buttons seemed fine, alot of meat on them. Thanks again !

Re: driven clutch
After all your expert advise everyone I have found the problem. Yes my rubber motor mounts are worn allowing the belt to be looser than it should (i didnt understand why I was checking the mounts until I was explained how the clutches work ). So for a test we slid the motor forward and ran it to see if the driven would open farther and it did. So im getting new rubbers for the motor then readjusting the engine back to original position. Thanks all what a great website !
