Gas Club Car will NOT crank

When I press the accelerator/starter pedal, nothing happens. I can "short" across the solenoid, and it will turn over(crank). Can anyone tell me if it is the small switch, that is accuated when I depress the accelerator/starter pedal or possibly the actual solenoid?

First check the 10amp fuse in the black box. It's not uncommon for that to blow. Next check for 12 volts across the smaller terminals on the solenoid. No voltage might mean either the start or kill micros in the black box are bad.

its either the microswitch or the solenoid.......my bet solenoid.............................
