BTW, I did find that nipple on the crankcase for that short piece of hose. Now I'm wondering why it's not clamped on and what purpose it serves?

I believe it's the pulse line for the fuel pump.

So, if I have a problem with fuel delivery, which I am, this could be the culprit!
And all along I've been thinking the fuel pump was malfunctioning, just spent $40 something ordering a new pump. I'd like to get down in there under the crankcase and put a clamp on that hose but, it looks like a major teardown to get everything out of the way to get to it. Guess you learn something new every day. Thanks JP |
