g1 oil injection problem
I have a 82 g1 that we use every weekend at the campground and have been using it for couple months this year. I noticed the first fuel tank of gas it used about half a quart of 2 stroke oil then second tank of gas I added the rest of the quart bottle of oil in reservoir. Then was back up at the campground and had to add another 4 gallons of gas for the third tank and noticed the oil injection reservoir is still full. I would of thought if it was not working motor would be seized but figured is there a way to make sure it is getting fuel or do I just start mixing my oil with gas? Also what is the correct oil mixture? Also what size gas tank is on it so I can just add oil to it with out draining it completely? Also can I just leave all the oil injection stuff hooked up and just drain the oil reservoir tank?

Re: g1 oil injection problem
I would start premixing. It's the only way to be sure that you are getting oil in the motor. I mix mine at 80:1 ...equals to 3.2 oz of oil to 2 gallons of gas. I think the factory gas tank is 6 gallons. Drain all of the oil out of the oil tank and you should be fine. Good luck.

Re: g1 oil injection problem
Okay I guess on to buying the small 2 stroke bottles and just start doing it that way to be safe. Not sure if there is any 2 stroke oil to not mix with or not.
