Default Marathon driveline in a TXT body

Hello all.

I have an 87 steel body marathon with a 2 cycle engine. It also has a 4 inch lift and 22 inch tires. Runs good.

Unfortunately the body is rusted and dented.

Does any know if the swing arm and engine from my cart bolt up in a TXT body? I would also like to use my lift kit if possible.

Thanks,
Nate

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately the frame is rusted out as well. The swing arm is in good shape though.

It'll take some fabrication-work,but you can swap the parts and make it work. The TXT uses a cradle-assembly with leaf-springs,where the Marathon uses a swing-arm with coils.Hope this helps.

Thanks that is helpful.

How about the front suspension? Would I be able to use my lift kit for the front?

The fronts are basically the same. The TXT has an UnderSlung front spring, where the Marathon has it on top of the axle, but the mount is basically the same.If you have a 2000.5 or newer TXT,the front is a little different due to the steering,so I don't know what will swap for sure.Pics of both fronts would help.

The cart in my Avatar-pic is an 85' Marathon with a 2000 TXT-body.The front-ends are basically the same. The TXT has an UnderSlung front spring, where the Marathon has it on top of the axle, but the mount is basically the same.If you have a 2000.5 or newer TXT,the front is a little different due to the steering,so I don't know what will swap for sure.Pics of both fronts would help.

Thanks again for the info. If I do the swap I will post pics in this section of how it went.

I know this post seemed to die out, but I have the same issue. I am trying to find a picture of how the swing arm mounted on the front, as someone cut it off. or is there a way to adapt the swing arm to attach to the rear springs of a txt? I don't have a problem fabricating parts, but I'm a visual kind of person. Any info will help, thanks.
