Re: Xrt 1550 U joint?
The end of the yoke where the rear ujoint fits broke on my xrt 1550. Would NAPA or similar have those as well? Thanks for any info.

Re: Xrt 1550 U joint?
My rear yoke broke as well, I was hoping someone answered you. Seems like getting u joints and yokes would be easy.

Re: Xrt 1550 U joint?
Older thread, but hoping to get y’all’s lessons learned…
I just knuckled under and just bought the entire front prop shaft from ClubCar for my XRT 1550 diesel… Got a veterans discount so it was a little less painful. I’m tired of all the popping noise from having the U joints bearing-less. Any hints on removing the prop shaft itself? Or is it pretty simple? TIA. |

It appears that the other end, the transmission end has a spline which allows the shaft to slide back and forth as the suspension moves. It has a grease zerk, it should have been greased at regular intervals. I suspect that the broken U-joint is the result of the U-joint on the transmission spline bring rusted, thus putting stress on the U-joint. Richard |
