Re: '96 TXT Diving in headfirst
It's what I run on all my ranch carts now.
No more lift kits and cheaper wheels & tires saves $ for performance parts. Performance is enhanced by less torque loss. Easier everyday in and out. I still have a big lifted gas cart on 25s but it's not my choice of carts to zip down to the mailbox or up to the barn any more. Don't dis the 20s lol |

Re: '96 TXT Diving in headfirst
I guess I should say there isn't anything "ranch" about my property, its mostly wooded. With not the best trails, that I usually bury even a tractor in once a year. My property in most years never fully drys out, this year was out of the norm.
I also have a lot of downed trees in the woods, that I would think the lift would help with for ground clearance? Which is why I had thought of using the Jake's long link suspension kit, as I assumed this would get me the best ground clearance overall? |

Anything special that I need to do for changing from 36v to 48v besides batteries and a new charger if I purchase that kit ScottyB?

2 gauge cables.
BTW: I did this upgrade on a 6 person shuttle last winter. Wasn't cheap but the the results exceeded my expectations. You mentioned towing in your original post. When you are done that thing will tow whatever you throw at it. |

Well got it mostly tore down. Quite a bit of rust but I suppose being 20 years old that's to be expected. Anyone think any of this needs replacing or just grind, prime, and repaint? Also any tips on painting the plastic body. Would like to change colors.
Last but not least picked up some new batteries but they did not have a charger. Can anyone recommend a smart 48v charger? |

Re: '96 TXT Diving in headfirst
Well got the new Alltrax controller, solenoid, HD F/R switch, and batteries installed and wired up and I got a whole lot of nothing!!
No clicks, no squeaks, notta. Not exactly sure where to start with the meter. I am really hoping something is just installed wrong as I would say nothing came with "good" instruction. |
