1.) What kind of winch mount kit do you have for front & back?

The front mount is part (welded) of the front burst guard. The front brush guard is from a forum vendor, Grizzly Metalworks. The rear bumper is also from Grizzly and it has a 2" hitch receiver in it. I did a search on eBay and found a winch mount that slides right into the 2" hitch. Watch eBay prices....I think I got mine for like $50. But some will be priced for $150.

2.) What model of warn winch did you buy?
The front is a Warn Vantage 3000. The rear is a discontinued Warn RT25 model which is now the Vantage 2000. These winch's are IMHO, worth their weigh and cost. They will pull my 1,000-lb cart outta whatever mess I seem to get into.....no matter how I try not to get into it. I purchased these because I'm disabled.....so I wanted a winch that I could count on to pull the cart out of any bad situation it got in. I've never been disappointed.

3.) Are the Jake's front disc brakes worth the cost?
Well, that's a "loaded" question. For me they most certainly are. Now, I live in south western Pennsylvania where hills are hills, and mountains are MOUNTAINS!! The only place around me where mountains are steeper are in West Virginia. Where I hunt, before I installed the front brakes I would attempt to stop going down certain hills...and it was downright scary. And it was just attempting to stop. Once the front disc brakes were installed, I could stop in the middle of the same hill. No longer scary. So....for me...I can't live without 'em.

DaveTM,

Thanks for the info on the winches and disc brakes. Sounds like you have just what you need to be able to climb/descend and get out of any mess you might get into during hunting season. I have these items on my wish list, hope to accumulate them over the next few years. Best of luck hunting this season!
