Default Westinghouse Nordskog 437 Solenoids

I recently pulled my 1967 Nordskog 437 cart out of storage, it would not take a charge because the batteries were low, it had last been driven about a year ago.
I pulled all 6 batteries out, did the epsom salt and water thing, then re-charged each on a 6-volt, to make sure it would at least take that charge, which they all did, but before I put them back in the cart, I decided to change out my 4 very old and rusty looking solenoids, I did this only because I had new ones purchased awhile back that I never installed, thought this was a good time to do that, but not because the cart needed them, only because it was easier to get to now.
Then I put the batteries back with all 4 new solenoids hooked up correctly and wired securely. But now my charger only rotates between the colors and does not seem to stay on the "charging" setting as before. The cart clicks, but will not move at all. Could all 6 batteries together not have enough charge (although each one takes a 6v charge)? Could it be that I replaced with all new solenoids, but I am using the old diodes? The clicking noise of the solenoids is rapid and seems normal when I turn on the switch and depress the gas pedal. Thank you for any help on this...

you need the batteries to be full charged to 38v
check you pack voltage under 30v will not move

your batteries are bad ... yes the salt will work as a quick fix
but you need them to power the cart not just show voltage

here is a chart of battery state of charge

Exactly what it was, thank you! All 6 batteries read 23v total. Got 6 fresh new batteries today, now it runs great. I appreciate the response
