I dont think your resistor selection has anything at all to do with heat buildup in the port itself. I think cold or hot temp conditions can only scale back, or stop charging, not "crank it up past normal".

I went ahead and tried this one also to see if it would work - and it would not work, so i guess i am going to just leave the yellow one on there.

If I'm building my own 48V lithium battery and will be converting the receptical to run off a charger that is for lithium...

first... is the gray wire still important? It won't be "read" by a random lithium charger I might put on here...

and if it's read by the receptical, and fed back somehow to the controller... is it therefore necessary to keep it intact? My ring terminal destroyed. Not sure which if either of these is correct for my need.

If going to lith then you don’t need the grey wire as it is for the quiq-q charger
