Re: What does "14286" signify??
Who would have access to change the Speed Codes in the stock Curtis 1550-5201??
Dealer only? Aftermarket? Free App? Does this Curtis have the ability to manipulate the Regen? The cart runs 23-24mph w/3 adults, any idea what the Motor RPM Limit is set at? |

Re: What does "14286" signify??
Any hand held curtis controller can change the speed code as long as it is Dealer or OEM level 1-3 can be set, but 4 has to be bought from CC and is called a Private Code.
There is no aftermarket workaround for there SP4 setting. And yes, the Regen has 3 settings they can set. |

Does a speed magnet negate the need for a code?

Re: What does "14286" signify??
It can, but not in this cart as it is an i2/Excel. Speed Magnets only work on IQ carts and not i2, Excels, etc.
And I do not like the speed magnets because you are just fooling the controller with the pulse counts and therefore forfeit all your regen capabilities of the cart. I like Regen as it helps on braking and inclines and while returning some of the energy back to the pack. |

Re: What does "14286" signify??
After looking in the CC Service Manual, it seems that the
"14286" is the Password used to place the vehicle in & out of "Private Speed Mode" (Speed Code 4)? |
