Just bought a 2018 EZG0 2Five. Now what?
Hi all,
New to the forum. New to the golf cart world. Just bought a new ezgo 2five. It has upgraded tires/rims and seating and a sound system and it drives great. But let’s say I get a little antsy and want to modify it a bit. Exterior mods and performance mods. What’s available and do you have any examples? I tried googling and searching this forum but came up empty handed. One thing I’m interested in is how to increase the speed and acceleration of the cart by using a “freedom chip” or getting the computer reprogrammed etc. The guy at the dealer said it could go over the 25mph top speed w a few tweaks but that they wouldn’t do them but there are places that do. Has anyone done this with a 2five? If so, what were the results like? How do I do this? Not looking to do anything overly complicated or expensive but if there are some easy tweaks to maximize the performance I’d be into that! Also any pics of exterior modified 2fives would be appreciated! Thanks, Nick |

Re: Just bought a 2018 EZG0 2Five. Now what?
The 2Five is legally a motor vehicle that is mandated by specific exemptions (LSV/NEV) in state and federal law. I have reprogrammed some, but to do so renders them in violation of the mandates pertaining to LSVs (Low Speed Vehicles). So, while they are capable of being sped up, doing so makes them illegal to operate on the road as a LSV. Giving them enhanced accel or regen braking is totally legal. I was a state licensed LSV/NEV/EV manufacturer for more than a decade.
To reprogram the 2Five controller requires a top level Curtis programming station, and the knowledge of what to change. In the hands of someone without experience, such a programmer will likely render the vehicle totally inoperable in short order. |

Or is there anyway I could enlist your services and modify it from afar?
