I took off the 5/32" steel cable from the winch
Installed a new fairlead, 32' of 5/16 synthetic winch rope with rubber stopper and a new hook. |

When upsizing from 5/32 steel cable to 5/16" rope, it's almost a 50% increase in diameter thickness
32' is all the drum would hold |

Didn’t realize it was that much thicker. Atleast you have the leftover to splice some loops at the ends for an extension.
