Re: Dead Batteries/Cart will not go
any trouble codes showing on the Alltrax controller, does it have a fuse for the controller running it low may have got that fuse,..Alltrax recommends that all motor controller
applications have a fuse in the battery circuit. |

Re: Dead Batteries/Cart will not go
Then you can test your battery pack with the peddle to the medal. Hook your meter back up, sit on the seat put it in forward and mash the gas. See if the voltage changes. If it does, what is the reading? If the voltage doesn't change, you have another problem as I stated in a previous reply.

Re: Dead Batteries/Cart will not go
OK. I hooked up the meter and put it in forward and the voltage did NOT change at all. Same thing with reverse.
Now something interesting happened. In the process of this last trial and error. The dang thing actually moved. it was not on the first try but somewhere in the process. Once in forward, then I switched to reverse and it went in reverse. Then I switched back to forward, and nothing. Repeated everything again but no more movement. In the past three days of turning keys, switching, etc, etc, this is the first time it has ever moved anywhere. BTW..I was mistaken earlier, I do hear the solenoid clicking. I am convinced this thing is possessed. What are your ideas now? |

Re: Dead Batteries/Cart will not go
Yes it moved briefly with the gas pedal pressed. Now it is back to doing nothing. When it moved though I was so shocked that I did not look at the meter. The voltage does not drop when the pedal is pushed and the cart doesnt move.

Re: Dead Batteries/Cart will not go
It sounds to me like you may have fried the controller trying to drive home on very low voltage. Jack one wheel off the floor so that if the cart does go unexpectedly during testing nobody gets hurt!
Next remove the solenoid resistor & place the black test lead on battery main - & red test lead on the controller B+. Voltage should read 0. press the gas and the voltage should read same as pack 48v-50v. If yes, place red test lead to controller B+ and black to M-. Voltage should start low and increase to pack voltage (48v) as you press the gas. I hope this helps |

Thank you fror the suggestion. Would you happen to have a diagram of some sort with all of the connections, resistors, etc. I am not intimately familiar with carts and i want to make sure I do it right and not make things worse.n Also, what would the diagnosis be for the various test results. |
