Default Looking at a broken gasser

Got a chance to look at a busted '04 gasser. Apparently has a "new" engine, that I don't care about ,I want to bump it up. But has a clutch problem.

I would use this cart 90% of the time for golf, but still want it to scoot. So, can I fit a clone that will operate like stock?

Worst case scenario, what would a clutch and/or rearend cost?
