I'm on a tablet with a really slow connection right now. Viewing the pictures is taking me a while.
Picture A is your pedal switch. I don't see any wires connected to it. Clean it up, and check for continuity when the pedal is pushed.

The big wires on the reverse switch look dangerous with broken insulation, and corrosion. All of the wires need a good cleaning with sandpaper and a wire brush.

This is the basic wiring setup that you need.
A large cable coming from the positive battery terminal to one side of the solenoid.
At that solenoid connection you should have a small wire with an inline fuse going to one side of the key switch. Another wire coming out of the key switch goes to the pedal switch.
Out of the pedal switch the wire goes to a small terminal on the solenoid.
The other small terminal on the solenoid connects to ground.

That is the basic control circuit. There are a couple more small wires connected to the solenoid for the voltage regulator, and I believe power for the coil.

The small green wire coming off of the starter goes to the middle terminal on the voltage regulator.

It looks like somebody had some extra accessories connected that aren't there anymore.
You were right about it being a wiring mess.

Picture N is the back of the switch. Ignore the extra terminals. Use a meter to determine which 2 terminals are connected together when the key operates, and use them. Clean up the connections.

K, and M. That is the voltage regulator. After the cart is running, we will determine if it is working. You might have to open it up, and use sandpaper on both sets of points in there.

I can't tell what L is.

Picture I shows a red wire with a black cap. That is half of the inline fuse. No idea what the other wires are.

Picture L is the igniter. I had to go look at mine to be sure. Yours is very corroded. I'm surprised it works.

If it ever fails, the fix is cheap. You'll see a sticky up top about the hei conversion. That's what replaces a bad igniter.

There are two wires coming out of the front of the engine near the flywheel. They connect to the igniter. They are red, and blue. They connect to the pulsar coil behind the flywheel. It very rarely goes bad.

Thanks CA and truly impressed! parts are ordered and will post our progress. I wasn't able to locate the sticky. Is it in this thread?
