1. Overkill is underrated.

2. The flexibility of the cables is the limiting factor. No matter how well the batteries are secured, the cart's frame flexes on rough terrain, so the batteries move around slightly and if the cables are too stiff, the battery terminals can be damaged physically. If not for these slight changes in distance between terminals, solid copper bus bars would be used by efficiency nuts like me.

Good to know thanks ! Picked up a new cart today I am pretty excited about. Ezgo 36 volt with a 6 lift Itp wheels 22' tires and best of all a alltrax controller high torque motor and 2/0 cables.this thing climbs a lot better then my other ezgo.going to try and figure out what hp motor is in it. Time for a clay basket roof rack and camo wrap!

Nice looking cart.

Looks like a Sepex drive cart (PDS).

Can you post pictures of motor showing the label?

What model controller is installed?

-----------

Other than bragging rights, the HP of an electric motor doesn't mean much. The important factor is how much torque is developed at what RPM.

The mechanical HP of an electric motor is Torque time RPM divided by 5252, and unless HP is coupled with either RPM or Torque, it is essentially a meaningless term since motors with the same HP rating can produce a lot of torque at low RPM (high torque motor) or a lot of torque at high RPM (high speed motor) or anywhere in between the two extremes.

Lift the front flap on the detachable body panel the covers the motor and you might find a label on the frame cross member. (Circled in attached picture)

If you find the cart's serial number, plug it in here: https://shop.ezgo.com/customer-servi...ialNumber.html

Ok so I took some pictures of what I could find. I could not find a serial number by the batteries. Any input or info is appreciated! I believe this cart is a 2001 ezgo txt?
