96 DS Brakes only hitting on top
Wrong brake shoes. Those are not self adjusting brakes but you have self adjusting brake shoes installed on them. Self adjusting brake shoes are labeled 17L and 17T. Two of each. Manual adjustment shoes are labeled J10 on all four shoes. The shoes pictured are 101823201. The shoes you need to order are 101146302.

Thanks so much! I suspected that they may be wrong, but according to the year they should have fit. I suspect there may have been some previous work on this cart, or maybe it's actually older than I thought. The serial number is missing so I was going off of the previous owner's information. I was getting ready to replace a bunch of seemingly good parts to try to solve this problem. This forum is a lifesaver...

101823201 brake shoes are for self adjusting brakes. Two of the shoes will say 17L and two of the shoes will say 17T.
101146302 brake shoes are for manual adjusting brakes. All four shoes will say J10. |
