Default to much power

i have a 36v 1990 ez go is it possible to over charge the cart with a automatic 36v charger and if so will that make it not run and when it goes down will it run agine?

guess if something is wrong with charger auto cutoff it could, what kind of pack voltage do you read??

All that "should" happen is boil your batteries dry and possibly damage them.

thinks for all the help guys i put the new diod and put a few new conections and its runing great can i adjust the speed controler?

Not unless it is an Alltrax programable unit. Which it will say on it Also just a heads-up... If some of the cable ends warrant replacing the whole set of cables is probably old and corroded enough to create high resistance and need replacing....a small gain in performance could be seen by doing this. Also with bad cable ends causing heat you run the risk of melting battery posts.
