2006 gas txt died. Will not turn over
Grand son was driving golf cart and he says it suddenly died. 12v power is good, lights, stereo etc all working. Step on accelerator and nothing happens. Could it be micro switch?
Has new alternator/ generator. Any help would be appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Check the small terminals on the solenoid and see if you get 12 volts with the key on and pedal pressed. If yes, bad solenoid. If no, use the attached and chase down the culprit.

Re: 2006 gas txt died. Will not turn over
Follow up. I’m finally home. Put a meter on the solenoid and there is no power with key on and pressing the accelerator. When I jump the solenoid the motor turns over but will not start.
When I pull a plug and turn over the motor there is no spark from the plug. Does this mean a coil pack or could it be something else as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Coil gets its power from the key switch which gets its power from the foot pedal switch. Does the reverse buzzer work?

Re: 2006 gas txt died. Will not turn over
Should be 2 small lugs on the solenoid that are + and -. If you jump 12+ to the + one cart should start and run. If it does you need to chase the activation circuit back through the key switch and the pedal.

KGSC,
Thanks for all your help. I removed the ignition and when turning the key I noticed the whole ignition switch was moving. Sprayed some WD40 in the ignition and the key turns completely now. Engine fired right up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
