Make sure the cam lobes are pointing down when you adjust. You'll have to rotate the engine over once to do the 2and cylinder.

The picture I included in post 17 shows how your lobe should be pointing ( down ) . 10 mm socket and remove the valve cover. Then just take a 10mm wrench and screwdriver.
You will know if these intakes are pulled into the head as soon as you remove the valve cover.
As Cartmaster said, count the amount of thread showing on the two middle valves compared to the other two.

Thanks on my way home to check this out. First I'll stop at auto store to pick up oil and plugs. Do I use synthetic? 10w-30 or just 30w? Also are plugs pre gapped? What should gap be?

I always use regular 10w30. Plugs gap at 030 . I would use the NGK BP4ES plugs and unless someone dropped them they are pre-set

Ok from top to bottom...... top is .004 and this one won't adjust. I loosened nut and turned screw down and still no gap.

Here is the pic of that valve adjusted. I checked compression and now have 180psi on both cylinders. Is this valve going bad?

Trig.... I actually forgot to check gap according to picture you sent me. I followed a you tube video that showed to check under set screw. Am I good either way?

Valves are getting wore out with that much thread showing

It’s a common problem with these engines after being neglected

Just monitor them and run them drain all the oil out of the motor and fill it up with 1.5qt like mentioned before

I have a lifted cart and have to take my front wheels off and jack the back end up to get all the oil out of mine

But should run good after that
