Default ezgo Marithon 1980 wiring

Hello,
I know that some have written about wiring diagrams for an ezgo 1980 electric golf cart but some are not matching mine and I am having trouble getting it to change direction. we started having the problem a few months ago and thought it might be the solenoid but after replacement it still would not go into reverse. My husband took off the forward/reverse switch and had it checked and the shop said it was good. He brought it home and put it back in and not it goes in reverse but not forward. I am looking for a diagram to see if everything is back where it belongs, and no he didn't take a photo before hand. I will try to attach what it looks like right now to see if anyone sees what might be wrong or give any hints as to what to check next.

There are diagrams for EZGO resistor carts in the stickies above. Here is one:

What you probably need is a wiring diagram just for the F/R switch that shows the different connections and paths for each position. There is one here somewhere, but I can't seem to locate it

For the motor to run in reverse, you have to reverse the flow of current in the motor's (preferably) field winding. That is what the F/R switch does. It looks complex, but is fairly simply once you see what it does.
