G22E better braking ideas?
2006 G22E "limo" w a Jakes 3" lift, 20" tires and a Plowman Riot Kit.
Cart runs great and I'm pleased with the Riot Kit. Now I need to figure out if I can improve the braking. I've installed new shoes and springs, cleaned up the drums and adjusted according to the manual. It's a big rig, and I can hit 27mph in the Alltrax "normal" mode but I'd sure like to improve the stopping power over the stock set up. Any ideas? |

Following! I have noticed my breaking is less than desirable!
Thanks. |

Re: G22E better braking ideas?
The ausco rear disc brake kit definitely helps. Front discs are available too.

Any experience with or impressions of the ausco kit? I checked Jake's for the front disc kit, bit it doesn't seem compatible with the Jake's 3" spindle lift I currently have on the cart. |

Re: G22E better braking ideas?
I have them on the back of my cart in the pic to the left. Their performance much better than stock, with less pedal effort. 2 drawbacks- they dont auto-adjust, as they wear, you will have to adjust your pedal. They will squeak every few years & will need a clean & lube.

Re: G22E better braking ideas?
Pretty easy, your install will actually be a little easier than mine. You can just remove your hubs to allow removal & install, I had to slide my axle shafts out.
