Default Efi shuts down

2016 Yamaha drive efi
Once the motor gets warmed up engine light flashes - no code just flashing fast - then it shuts the spark off and cart dies.
It will continue to turn over but no spark.
After I let off the pedal it’ll start right back up and run for a few seconds until it flashes and turns off again.
I’ve worked on a lot of Yamahas but haven’t seen this before. Any help is greatly appreciated

This almost always points to a bad TCI ... Not a given but 9/10 this is problem when I observe it..

Just so I’m on the same page as you, the tci is the coil, correct?
I was kinda thinking the same thing just didn’t know why it would throw a code and why it would come right back to life.
I’ve worked on hundreds of gas Yamahas and can’t ever remember changing a coil. It seems like that though since it’s giving out once it’s warmed up

Coil correct...It may throw the code due to the lack of seeing spark or some kind of back-feed through bad coil...It is rare in Yamahas compared to other carts I'll admit but those symptoms to me point to coil failure...

I would be surprised if the coil would cool down that quickly but...

It does seem odd but I see this all the time (mostly in Club Cars I'll admit) that after it gets hot shuts off spark completely except at the first hit of the pedal sees light spark and drops back out..I was reviewing manual to see if it had any other ideas but it only says check spark plug gap, and if that is good check TCI connector and then TCI itself which seems to point to that same direction...Like I said not a positive but my only thought when cutting out while hot...

You have already removed the suppressor on the end of the tailpipe, right? I had one of those clog, causing motor to heat up real fast. Then spark would cut. Removing suppressor solved problem instantly.

I haven’t checked that. I had one on a quietech make the cart run like a dog but nothing with the spark. It definitely seems like the computer is shutting off the spark. I’ll check the muffler tomorrow

I’m not seeing one on this cart. Never noticed one on them except for the quietech

This is a 2016 right? So shouldnt have a spark arrester, and being such a new cart, I would doubt its the coil.
I have however has the pressure sensor do exactly that.
