'83 Marathon Coil over Shock replacement
Have an '83 marathon with a 5" block lift on it. As of right now, I'm not gonna have much of a back left in a few yrs cause it feels like it doesn't even have springs. I have done some research with no luck. I was thinking about trying to find a coil over shock from an atv to replace the current stock coil, shock on the lift kit set up. Right now it has the coil that goes from the swing arm to the frame, and the shock about 6" in front of that that goes from the swingarm to the frame. Can I take them both out, and bolt a coil over shock in the existing shock mounts. Has anyone tried this? If so, any recommended coil over shock donar that would bolt right in and give me the same 5" of lift? Would it be to hard or to soft? Basically looking for upgraded rear suspension so it rides a little softer.
