Default Low power

HI I just bought a 98 ezgo with a 295, on the flats it does great , but on hills it almost stalls out. It is all stock,and i just use it for golf, I've ajusted the valves & cleaned carb & fuel pump, comp is 155lbs. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

could be a belt or driven clutch issue, the belt width should measure 1 1/8". the driven clutch should return the belt to it's outer diameters when climing up steep hills. if this doesnt happen it'll dog the engine down to the point where it won't pull.
there's a thread in the tech section about shorter belts and 28deg clutches that may be helpful to you

Belt is 1 3/16ths,its still really dogy, do they make a high altitude jet for this motor!!! Top end is great just no low end!

they do, I don't know what it is though.
Is it lifted with bigger tires? If you have the stock belt i'd try a shorter one, that'll give you some low end.

just replace cam buttons on driven clutch & installed one inch shorter belt, all the differance in the world. thank you all for the help.
