Default 199? Ez-go ?

So, call me crazy, but I bought another project cart and of course I've got a few questions.
First, what kind of ezgo is this thing? I know its not a txt. It has a steel body which I thought was interesting.
Second, the vin plate is missing, so is there another spot I can find to help me figure out what year this is? previous owner said it was a 1995.
Last, This cart has no motor and I wanna install some kind of big block or punched out robin motor. Now, I can buy a big block kit for $2000 through
cart parts plus and it looks pretty complete. Can I save money going a different route, and if I did is it worth it cuz I definitely want this to be another serious off-roading machine?

ok, after doing some searching, I have verified that this is a 95 medalist. I'm cool with that.
Now, if anyone can still recommend an engine replacement. There is no motor in this thing, but all the nuts/bolts, exhaust, starter/generator, etc was included when I bought it today.
I'm leaning towards big block, but I'm looking for alternatives. Thanks.
