Here are the pics. The first few are the one I am working on, and the one in the last two pics is the one getting the 8hp.

Sounds like a plan lol. I just gotta get the old motor out of there. 2 of the motor mounts are broken anyway so one more bolt and some cables and shes out. Oh, and of course the belt. After than I will design mounts for the briggs and drop it in my nicer cart... the first one. tried the marvel mystery oil and PB blaster in the cylinder with fresh crank case oil and she wouldn't turn over even with a breaker bar... after about and hour of trying I got tired. Oh well, $350 for 2 rolling carts with siezed engines and a spare frame with no engine or tranny, but everything else isn't too bad around here.

This really just keeps getting worse. If you are saying you are going to put the 8HP motor in the one with the rear seat you are wasting your time. That motor is already smaller than the stock motor that came in it and throw two more people on the back?
I hate to rain on your party but you need to do a lot more research on the subject of applied power to weight ratio and also the difference between a vertical and horizontal shaft engine.
You just are starting out on the wrong foot from every aspect of your Idea.

The briggs 8HP is a horizontal shaft engine. I thought I stated that earlier but I may be wrong. I am stripping the racks and rear seats off the cart along with the rear fiberglass body for cooling reasons and it will just seat me and possibly a friend on the main seat. If need be I can get a hold of a larger engine without a problem. I have a propane 27hp in the shed but I think that would be overkill lol. This thing is gonna be near bare bones by the time I am ready to swap the engine in it.
