We used a battery box or something to set the engine on, but the cart I did was lifted....that tube drops the front of engine down mostly to level the engine back out due to the lift plus the mounts were offset some.

Who would want a PULL STARTER on any cart? Shifting from forward to reverse will ruin the rear end. You will have to stop and re-crank the engine every time you want to change direction.Yoou can rebuild a G-16 for about 300 dollars as long as it does not need a crank. Those can be touched up with 0000 steel wool.

I am in raleigh and can rebuild the G-14. The only diff ins the bore from a g2 or g9. I have G-14 pistons, bearings, crank, etc in stock. would be interested in buying the G-14 if you want to get rid of it. I repair Yamaha's for a living and have everything you need. Even used cross-members that you hacked up and welded. hbondurant@nc.rr.com. At far end of 1010 hwy.

@bonduranth, I just sent an email about getting the engine rebuilt, you can just reply to my email as I check it almost 24/7 unless I am outside working or out to eat or something.

If you buy the adapter and use the stock clutch you can use the stock starter.

Actually my father may be willing to put some money towards the cart, and a trade is possible too, either way.

Another, pictureless update (sorry). Got the rest of the hardware for the mounting plate, have all the measurements and designs finalized, should be ready to assemble tomorrow and I'll get the engine bolted on. Hope to get up at 8am, work till the sun goes down. Hope to get it build and running/driving by the end of the day, but then again that was supposed to happen tonight. Oh well, hard to get a ride to get materials when you don't have a car, or license

Oh, and BTW, while browsing the smilies for the posts, I noticed this one ..... what is that supposed to be?! LOL
