2pg clutches
I currently have 2 2pg carts one is my nephews the other is my grandsons
they ride them like they are /were bulldozers in the woods little or no trails . Now both have comet clutches with the outer covers beat off and both are stuck about ¼ closed so thet the cart tries to move when the starter is used and there is not enough battery to make it both move the cart and crank it . is there any way to service / relax the clutch without replacment / neither clutch is a year old yet but the way they were used I just couldn't claim any warrenty . |

Re: 2pg clutches
I pulled the back cover off to see the clutch better and to get to it with a 'little' hammer and found 3 weights on the ground where it was pulled up and parked after last run and 2 or 3 of the weights are what is holding it from working properly . If and when I pull the clutch is there a way to get the shell off so I can put them back ?

Re: 2pg clutches
Hey Goat, Sounds like its shot. Other than a spring kit there is nothing else you can do to those clutches
