84 marathon wont start

OK i have gone thru 90% of the wiring and found one of the wires broken off the micro switch so i cleaned it up and re attached it and still nothing is there a way to jump this switch out or go around it to see if the switch is bad??

Hey Sheffs,

Does the buzzer go when you put the cart in R? If so, then it could be the microswitch, or something else.

If the buzzer doesn't go, then there is a break somewhere in the system, or you have a ground issue. Usually do do a good hands-on inspection of all the connections around front of the compartment. Using this method, I found a spade connector to the keyswitch where the wire had rotted inside - I only discovered this because it broke when I was hands on with it.

Since you do have the buzzer, it could be the microswitch. Sounds like you at least have a functioning ground path and a complete circuit.

I sprayed the crap out of my microswitch with PB, and that seemed to clear my issue (opposite - wouldn't shut off). Could always try that - something may just be stuck or wet in there.

I think you can jump it as well, though likely with the cart on jackstands, or the drivebelt off. With the switch jumped, it should start turning over without pedal input.

Must be good stuff. Everyone I have talked with says it's the best for frozen bolts. I have not heard one bad thing about the stuff.
