Fuel pump
Anyone have any idea why something like this wouldn't work on one of the older pulse system engines ?
Same basic principle as far as I can tell but considerably cheaper if it would work.

some really supple hose you can get over the fuel pump nipples its kinda yellow clear stuff have had good luck with it.....and a bit of lube.........................

Wow, $52.00 isnt cheap, type in vacumm fuel pump in ebay and see alot cheaper.

what about those little 12 volt fuel pumps any good? i have seen them on carts but have never used one and not sure of cost.................

I would be afraid they would flood the carb but I've never used one either. These little pulse pumps are just to simple and proven to try anything else.

yeah you can,t beat the fact its so simple, the electric ones have to work i have seen them on running carts mostly par-cars......................

 The one I was meaning to post was ABS construction and cost $10.05. Re Electric fuel pumps, it's been a while but iirc the problem of flooding the carburettor was solved by "teeing" off the fuel line to allow a return to the tank. Apparantly, enough fuel was delivered to the carb using this method. Rather like a crude version of a modern FI automotive application I imagine.Chris. |

i have a 98 ez go workhorse, is there a different fuel pump i can replace the existing one with? I read somewhere that you can use a briggs and stratton pump,is that true?
