Wife would like quieter cart (what can I do)
So we have a 2008 Club Car Precedent and the wife thinks its to loud.
What can I do? First off the system is intact. Is there a silencer or new system I can put on? also saw some guy used soundproofing mats inside the engine compartment. Thanks |

You can try putting mats on the under side of the seat but not sure if it be enough. Next step is another cart.

line the body with noise damping mat, or go electric.

Re: Wife would like quieter cart (what can I do)
Those carts are pretty quiet as-is. Probably isn’t much you can do to make a substantial difference, sound deadening may help some but probably won’t be a huge difference to be honest.
Depending on how you use the cart, going with an electric cart may be your only option to make a real big difference if sound is a concern, given that the precedent is pretty quiet from the get-go. When I lived in a farm, out in the middle of nowhere an electric cart just didn’t make sense due to charging requirements and where I usually parked my carts there was no electricity. But now living in a subdivision and parking it in my garage, I have an electric cart and absolutely love it. It’s stronger and faster than just about any gas cart I’ve ever had, and since I park it in the garage, charging it once every couple weeks isn’t a big deal either. |

The Yamaha EFI Quietech are very quiet. I have two of them and I'm very pleased.
